Viorel Pașca's Care Homes: 29 Patients Admitted, One in Critical Condition, Health Minister Announces
Cseke Attila: 29 people from the illegal care homes managed by Viorel Pașca are currently hospitalised across the country, with one patient in a critical condition.

Of the total number of patients, only one was in a serious condition at a county hospital, whilst the remainder were showing favourable progress with prospects for improvement.
"I can tell you the situation from two days ago, when we had 29 patients in hospitals across Romania, in various counties. One patient was in a more serious, more severe condition at one of the county hospitals. The remaining patients (...) were in situations with prospects for improvement," said Cseke Attila.
Treatment decisions remain at the discretion of doctors
The Minister clarified that each patient's care pathway — whether to continue hospitalisation or to be discharged — would be determined exclusively by the medical teams, based on each individual's state of health.
"Doctors will decide on diagnoses, treatment, and what comes next. Those who need to remain within the hospital system will continue to do so. Those who need to move towards other areas of specialisation, which relate primarily to the social care and social protection sector, will be directed accordingly — but these decisions are made by doctors," explained the interim Minister of Health.
Individuals who no longer require medical care will be referred, on the basis of specialist recommendations, to units within the social care system.
