This is an informative English translation. The legally binding version of these Terms is the Romanian one.

These terms and conditions govern the use of the SeniorHelp platform (seniorhelp.ro) and are entered into pursuant to the Romanian Civil Code, Law 365/2002 on electronic commerce, Law 363/2007 on consumer protection and Government Emergency Ordinance 34/2014 on consumer rights in distance contracts.

By creating an account or using the platform, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Services offered

SeniorHelp is a directory platform offering:

  • Free listing of nursing homes and senior service providers in Romania
  • Search, filter and compare company profiles
  • User reviews and ratings
  • Editorial content: articles, guides, glossary, calculators
  • "Hermina" AI assistant for nursing-home selection guidance
  • Free cognitive games for seniors
  • Paid subscriptions for company owners: increased visibility, AI tools, article generation, review management

SeniorHelp is not a medical or care services provider — we are a directory facilitating contact between families and listed companies.

3. Account registration

  • You must be at least 16 years old
  • You must provide accurate and complete data
  • You are responsible for the security of your password and any activity on your account
  • One account per individual / legal entity
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access

4. Content published by companies

Companies claiming their profile are responsible for the accuracy of displayed data. SeniorHelp reserves the right to:

  • Moderate, edit or delete content that violates the terms
  • Suspend or revoke a profile claim in case of abuse
  • Request justification documents (authorisations, MMFTS licences)
  • Automatically include public information (MMFTS list of authorised providers)

5. Reviews

Users may leave reviews subject to:

  • Real experience with the company within the last 6 months
  • No identifiable personal data (resident names, room numbers etc.)
  • No abusive, defamatory, vulgar or discriminatory language
  • No promotion of a competing company

SeniorHelp moderates reviews and may refuse publication of those that do not meet the criteria. The company owner has the right to publicly reply to each review. Maliciously fabricated reviews may incur civil liability.

6. Payments and subscriptions

For company owners we offer 4 subscription packages:

  • Free: 0 RON/month — basic listing
  • Essential: 99 RON/month — increased visibility
  • Pro: 249 RON/month — priority placement, articles, events
  • Premium: 599 RON/month — top ranking, AI article generation, external dofollow, priority support

All prices are in RON and include 21% VAT. Payment processing is handled by Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1). Card details are not stored on our servers.

Auto-renewal: subscriptions automatically renew at the end of the paid period (monthly). You can cancel anytime from your dashboard, taking effect at the end of the current period — no refund is issued for the already-paid period.

7. Right of withdrawal (consumer)

Under EGO 34/2014, as a natural person (consumer) you have the right to withdraw without reason within 14 days of contract conclusion.

Important exception: if in the first 14 days you actually consume the service (e.g. generated AI articles, sent promotional emails), you waive the right of withdrawal under Art. 16(m) EGO 34/2014. You will receive a proportional refund for unused functionality.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, email help@seniorhelp.ro. Refund within 14 days via the same payment method.

Legal entities (SRL, PFA, SA etc.) do NOT benefit from the right of withdrawal — B2B subscriptions are final upon activation.

8. Invoicing

Fiscal invoices are issued automatically via SmartBill (series SHLP), submitted to SPV / ANAF e-Factura per law and downloadable anytime from your dashboard.

9. Limitation of liability

SeniorHelp is a directory, not a medical or care provider. Therefore:

  • We do not guarantee the quality, correctness or availability of the services offered by listed companies
  • Information about prices, vacancies and amenities is indicative and may differ from current reality
  • We recommend a personal visit and verification of authorisations before any commitment
  • We are not liable for direct disputes between user and company
  • Our maximum liability is limited to the amount paid for the last year of subscription (if applicable)
  • We are not liable for indirect damages (loss of profit, data, opportunity)

10. Prohibited content

It is forbidden to upload or transmit on the platform:

  • Spam, unsolicited advertising, pyramid schemes
  • Defamatory, slanderous, discriminatory or violence-inciting content
  • Malware, viruses, malicious scripts
  • Content infringing copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property rights
  • Personal data of third parties without their consent
  • Promotion of pharmaceutical products, supplements, veterinary services
  • Sexually explicit, illegal or child-exploiting content

Our system includes automatic banned-words filtering and manual moderation. Violations may result in account suspension without refund.

11. Intellectual property

The code, design, SeniorHelp and NursingHelp brands (registered with OSIM and EUIPO), original editorial content, the database of nursing homes and classifications are property of SC ANYMAG DIGITAL SOLUTIONS SRL.

User content (photos, reviews, articles written on the platform, company descriptions) remains the property of the author. By publishing, you grant SeniorHelp a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, reproduce and distribute the content within the service, including on our marketing channels (newsletter, social media), as long as the content remains published.

Use of platform content for automated scraping, commercial aggregation or republishing without written agreement is prohibited.

12. Modification of terms

We may update these terms to reflect legal or service changes. Significant changes will be notified at least 30 days in advance via email and a banner on the site. Continued use after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, you can close your account.

13. Account suspension or closure

SeniorHelp may suspend or close an account in case of:

  • Violation of these terms
  • Payment system fraud
  • Upload of illegal or abusive content
  • Repeated non-payment of subscription

For prepaid subscriptions, we will refund the remaining amount proportionally, except in cases of fraud or serious violation.

You can close your account anytime from Account Settings. Data is deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

14. Dispute resolution

The parties will attempt amicable resolution of any dispute. If no agreement is reached, consumers may resort to:

  • ANPC SAL — alternative dispute resolution (Autoritatea Națională pentru Protecția Consumatorilor): anpc.ro/ce-este-sal
  • ODR — EU online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
  • The competent court in Bucharest, Romania, under Romanian law
