e-Sănătatea Mea: the platform for online medical records and doctor appointments from 2026
CNAS is preparing the "e-SănătateaMea" portal, offering online access to medical history and electronic prescriptions from autumn 2026, with digital appointment booking set to launch in the fourth quarter.

The bill concerning the "e-SănătateaMea" portal was adopted by the Chamber of Deputies on Tuesday, 30 June, with 279 votes in favour, no votes against, and 9 abstentions. The Senate had already passed the bill on 24 June. The platform is a component of the Health Insurance Information System and will be administered by the National Health Insurance House (CNAS).
According to CNAS, the project team is working to finalise the platform, with the estimated launch date set for the end of summer, and services expected to become fully operational in autumn 2026.
What patients will be able to do on the platform
The portal will be available to all individuals insured under the public health system and will provide secure access to:
- each patient's medical service history;
- medical documents issued within the system;
- electronic prescriptions;
- information about medications and medical devices used in treatment.
Authentication will be carried out through a secure system, and personal data will be protected in accordance with legal regulations governing the confidentiality of medical information.
A unified medical appointment system, from Q4 2026
A key element of the project is a unified electronic appointment booking system, which will become available in the fourth quarter of 2026. All healthcare providers under contract with CNAS will be required to use this platform to manage appointments. Prior to national rollout, the system will be tested through a pilot project.
The portal will also include electronic services designed to facilitate the relationship between patients and healthcare providers, both for routine consultations and for the management of long-term treatments. Patients will be able to check their electronic prescriptions in real time and will have access to details about their prescribed medications, whilst medical documents issued within the system will be viewable directly on the platform, without any additional bureaucratic procedures.
What comes next
Following its adoption by Parliament with broad support and no votes against, the bill is due to be promulgated by the President and published in the Official Gazette. Subsequently, CNAS will begin the effective national implementation of the portal, with the launch scheduled for the second half of 2026 and full operationalisation from autumn.
According to the authorities, the objective is to improve citizens' access to their own medical data, enhance communication with service providers, and enable more efficient use of existing data within the system — both for the management of healthcare services and for underpinning public health policy decisions.
