A Romanian startup specialising in digital services for seniors has been selected for the prestigious Orange Fab 2026 accelerator programme, alongside three other innovative companies from leading technology sectors.

TeleSenior is among the four Romanian startups that will benefit from specialist mentoring, access to the Orange 5G Lab infrastructure, and support for developing pilot projects in the coming years.

Smart solutions for elderly safety

The platform developed by TeleSenior includes smart devices for automatic fall detection, SOS alert transmission, and real-time monitoring of elderly individuals. The system is connected to a round-the-clock assistance centre, providing rapid response in emergency situations.

The primary objective of the solution is to give older people a greater degree of independence, allowing them to live safely in their own homes under the continuous oversight of smart technology.

Support for the development of senior care technologies

Through its inclusion in the Orange Fab programme, the startup will gain access to Orange's telecommunications expertise and the 5G Lab infrastructure for testing solutions based on advanced connectivity, the Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence.

The company will also benefit from mentoring by Orange experts and support in identifying funding opportunities through research and innovation grants in the field of digital health.

Trends in elderly care technology

TeleSenior's selection reflects the growing interest in technological solutions aimed at an ageing population. According to the organisers, the selected startups address areas that are essential to digital transformation, including health and elderly care.

The Orange Fab programme has been active in Romania for nine years and has supported 58 startups to date, providing a platform for validating and developing innovative solutions with a real impact on society.
