FEVAR: the endovascular solution for complex aortic aneurysms
The FEVAR procedure uses a customised fenestrated endoprosthesis for aortic aneurysms located near the renal arteries, without blocking the blood supply to the organs.

For such situations, the FEVAR procedure (fenestrated endovascular aortic repair) is used, which involves implanting a custom-made endoprosthesis tailored to each individual patient. This device features fenestrations — small openings positioned precisely in line with the major branches of the aorta. Additional stents are inserted through these openings towards the renal arteries or other vessels, allowing the aneurysm to be excluded from circulation whilst blood supply to the organs remains unaffected.
The procedure is planned in detail based on a CT angiography examination and is recommended for certain cases of complex aortic aneurysms, depending on each patient's anatomical characteristics. Following the FEVAR procedure, periodic imaging check-ups are required to assess the condition of the endoprosthesis, the function of the vascular branches, and the complete exclusion of the aneurysm from circulation.
