How Your Posture Can Change Your Mood in Seconds
Nicole Păcuraru explains, on the Realitatea Medicală programme, how body posture sends direct signals to the brain and can rapidly change one's mood.

Posture is not merely about physical appearance – it sends a direct signal to the brain. When we slouch with our gaze downward, breathing becomes more shallow and energy levels drop. In effect, the body enters a kind of "power-saving mode", with reduced resources.
By contrast, when we straighten our back and lift our gaze, breathing relaxes and deepens, and the brain receives a different message: that we are present and engaged.
An important detail highlighted in the programme is that we do not need to "feel" a change in mood beforehand for it to occur. Simply adjusting our posture is enough, and our mood will follow accordingly.
According to Nicole Păcuraru, this is one of the quickest ways to "reset" our state of mind – it requires no special effort and no extra time. All it takes is a change of position.
