Responsibilities
- Daily cleaning of rooms (sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, surface disinfection)

- Cleaning common areas (hallways, dining room, activity rooms)
- Proper handling of cleaning products and disinfectants
- Separate waste collection, including hazardous waste (with the nurse)
- Reporting faults or improper sanitary conditions
Requirements
- At least 8 grades (no legally mandatory qualification in the private sector)
- Medical certificate at hiring + periodic occupational-health checks
- Physical capacity for sustained moderate effort
- Preferred: experience in institutional cleaning (hospital, hotel, residential centre)
Certifications & courses
- Hygiene and occupational-safety training (mandatory, provided by the employer — OSH Law 319/2006)
- Optional: ANC level-1 'Cleaning worker' course (an advantage when hiring)
- Chemical-handling course (recommended)
