Coordinator of the care home in Bihor, brought in for questioning at DIICOT
Viorel Pașca, coordinator of the centres for vulnerable persons in Bihor, was brought in on Wednesday for questioning at DIICOT, in a case involving human trafficking and organised criminal group charges.

Viorel Pașca, the coordinator of centres for vulnerable people in Bihor County targeted by DIICOT searches, was brought to Bucharest on Wednesday for questioning, along with other individuals under investigation in the same case.
The DIICOT prosecutors' investigation concerns the formation of an organised criminal group and human trafficking, in connection with the activity of several centres housing hundreds of people in vulnerable situations. According to prosecutors, the group is alleged to have been operating since 2020 and to have obtained financial benefits from donations, sponsorships, and the income of residents in their care.
On Tuesday, DIICOT prosecutors and police officers carried out 27 searches in Bihor County, inspecting a number of properties where people with disabilities and other vulnerable individuals were living.
Upon arriving at DIICOT headquarters, Viorel Pașca declined to answer journalists' questions. When asked about the allegations in the case, he said only: "you know more than I do", offering no further explanation.
