CNAS Announces Shutdown of PIAS IT System Over the Weekend. What Happens to Medical Services
The CNAS platform will be unavailable from Friday evening until Monday morning. Medical services, medications, and medical devices will continue to be provided offline.

The National Health Insurance House (CNAS) has announced that the Health Insurance IT Platform (PIAS) will be temporarily taken offline this weekend for system operationalisation work.
The interruption will take place between Friday, 25 September, at 22:00, and Monday, 28 September, at 02:00. According to CNAS, the shutdown is scheduled as part of a so-called "parallel run" period, during which technical operations necessary for the platform's functioning are carried out.
What happens with consultations and prescriptions during this period
CNAS has clarified that, during the interruption, medical services, medications, and medical devices will continue to be provided, but in offline mode. In practice, doctors and healthcare providers will be able to record patient data offline, with the data to be entered into PIAS only after the system has been restored.
The institution emphasises that this procedure is set out in the legislation governing PIAS interruptions and is intended to ensure the continuity of medical services, even when the IT system is unavailable.
In a statement published on its website, CNAS announced: "From Friday, 25 September 2026, at 22:00, until Monday, 28 September 2026, at 02:00, a scheduled interruption of the Health Insurance IT Platform (PIAS) will take place, required for the completion of specific operationalisation work during the 'parallel run' period. During this time, medical services, medications, and medical devices will be provided in offline mode."
