The Government has approved 2.1 million RON for 479 families in emergency situations
The Executive has allocated 2,184,600 RON for 479 families affected by serious illnesses, fires, landslides, or accidents.

At the cabinet meeting on 3 September, the Government approved emergency aid totalling 2,184,600 RON, to be granted to 479 families and individuals in difficult circumstances. The funds come from the budget of the Ministry of Labour, Family, Youth and Social Solidarity.
The financial support is intended for those affected by fires, landslides, severe weather events, accidents, or serious health conditions — situations which, according to the Government's statement, "may lead to the emergence or increase of the risk of social exclusion".
The largest share of funds allocated to people with serious medical conditions
The largest category of beneficiaries comprises 353 families and individuals facing exceptional circumstances related to their health. A sum of 1,379,600 RON has been approved for this group.
The conditions listed include oncological diseases, cardiovascular problems, degenerative, respiratory and genetic disorders, mental health conditions, and organ transplant cases. Also included are other "severe illnesses requiring long-term treatment, surgical intervention, or medical rehabilitation services".
Funds for families affected by fires, landslides, and storms
The Government separately approved 732,000 RON for 116 families and individuals whose homes were damaged by fires and who "are unable to repair or rebuild their homes from their own income".
A sum of 56,000 RON has been approved for 8 families and individuals in Olt and Vâlcea counties whose homes were affected by landslides.
One family in Argeș county, whose home was damaged by severe storms, will receive aid of 7,000 RON. Another family, in Suceava county, will receive 10,000 RON after one of its members was involved in a serious road accident.
Beneficiaries from across the country
The families and individuals set to receive this aid come from the counties of Alba, Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brașov, Brăila, Buzău, Caraș-Severin, Călărași, Cluj, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iași, Ilfov, Mehedinți, Mureș, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Sibiu, Suceava, Teleorman, Timiș, Vaslui, Vâlcea and Vrancea, as well as from the municipality of București.
The Government states in its communication that, by granting this aid, it aims to achieve "the reduction of the social and material impact of exceptional circumstances, the support of vulnerable individuals and families, and the prevention of an increased risk of social exclusion".
